Although Newmarket is best known for its great tradition of horseracing and thus given the title of the horseracing capital of Britain it does boast a charming town that is steeped in history.
There is plenty to see and do for all the family whatever the weather and time of year – enjoy a flutter at the races, take in the atmosphere, visit the museums and churches, relax in the countryside or even shop in the open air market, high street and local shops.
