Due to new government guidelines, it will be mandatory to wear a face covering (eg mask, scarf, bandana) while visiting the centre from Friday 24 July.
Face coverings will not be mandatory for:
- anyone under the age of 11
- those with disabilities or certain health conditions, such as respiratory or cognitive impairments that make it difficult for them to wear a face covering
Thank you! We would like to thank you for your comments and for those who have been in touch with us to outline your concerns. We are always keen to hear from all our shoppers about the different aspects of their visits and how we can make their shopping both enjoyable and safe.
We have thought very carefully about how to enable our shoppers to safely visit and move around The Guineas now more non-essential shops are opening. Our current measures have been put in place following government guidance. This limits the amount of people who can safely shop in our centre when having to consider the width restrictions we have on our malls. Following government guidance our system will be closely monitored and we will of course keep it under review.
We have now put in a designated ‘Help Point’ located by Costa. If you have a disability or require any assistance please visit our help point and a member of our team will support you. We have also added further signage across the centre to support shoppers with our new system.

Space is good
Help us keep everyone safe by following the new one-way system and social distancing measures while visiting the centre. We’ve added signage to help guide you.
A clean and safe environment
Our teams are running enhanced cleaning practices throughout the centre. There will be hand sanitisers for public use available at all entrances.
Please be patient
We will be monitoring capacity and our stores will have limits on the number of people that can enter at one time. This may mean you will have to queue, where safe to do so.
Please shop thoughtfully, following the latest guidance laid out by the Government, and do not visit the centre if you show any symptoms (high fever, a new continuous cough and loss of smell & taste).
You can find out more about shopping safely in our centre on our FAQ page here.
Many of our retailers have adapted their opening hours to support the safe return to work of their staff, so please always double-check before you set off.
